Monthly cost by team size

Checked Oct 31, 2026. Subscription only, before card fees and tax, one location. “Vagaro matched” adds the three Vagaro add-ons that cover what Booksy includes: Forms ($10), Online Shopping Cart for deposits ($10), and the Medium text plan with 2,000 credits ($30).

Bookable staffBooksyVagaro base (list)Vagaro matched
1$29.99$30$80
3$69.99$50$100
5$109.99$70$120
6$129.99$80$130
8$169.99$100$150
10$209.99$100$150

Vagaro’s intro rate takes $6.01 off the base for the first 6 months. Booksy is the cheaper all-in option up to about 6 staff. From 7 staff up, Vagaro costs less even with the add-ons, because Booksy keeps adding $20 per person and Vagaro stops charging per calendar after seven paid licenses. If you don’t need forms, online deposits, or much texting, Vagaro’s base is cheaper at every team size above one.

Booksy: one price with everything in it

Source: https://biz.booksy.com/en-us/pricing (checked Oct 31, 2026)

Booksy charges $29.99 per month plus tax, and $20 per month for each additional team member. Booksy says all features are included, with no higher tiers and no monthly add-on fees: online booking, client and calendar management, email and text marketing, custom forms and liability waivers, Reserve with Google, waitlists, no-show protection, online gift cards, memberships and packages, and reporting. Plans include 2,000 free SMS marketing messages a month, and appointment confirmations and reminders are always free. Bookings are unlimited, and Booksy says it never charges clients to book.

No-Show Protection lets you charge a deposit at booking or require a card on file and charge a cancellation fee. You choose which services and what percentage. Standard mobile payment processing fees apply to those charges.

Booksy Card Reader hardware is sold separately: the Stripe Reader M2 is $53.10 and the S710 is $299, plus shipping. Next-business-day payouts are free, and 30-minute Fast Payouts cost 1.5%. See Booksy pricing for worked totals.

Vagaro: low base, pay for what you turn on

Sources: https://www.vagaro.com/pro/pricing and Vagaro’s Plans, Pricing, and Premium Features support article (checked Oct 31, 2026)

Vagaro’s pricing page shows $30.00/mo crossed down to $23.99/mo, labeled “Exclusive rate for the first 6 months,” with no cancellation fees. One calendar license is included. Each extra employee calendar is $10/mo, and Vagaro says, “After paying for seven licenses, you can add new employees to your account at no additional charge.” Every plan includes payments, calendar and resource management, waitlist options, memberships, packages and gift certificates, 1,000 free emails a month, loyalty programs, inventory, invoices, unlimited appointment reminders, and a free Vagaro Marketplace listing.

The add-ons most salons price in:

Online Shopping Cart (deposits and cancellation fees for online bookings)$10/mo
Text marketing$20/mo for 1,000 credits, $30 for 2,000, $50 for 4,000

Vagaro Payroll$34/mo + $5/mo per employee

If you also want a marketing CRM

Neither Booksy’s nor Vagaro’s pricing page lists a funnel builder or ad-lead pipeline. If you need one, a separate CRM can sit alongside your booking app. HighLevel’s pricing page lists Starter at $97/mo ($970/yr), Unlimited at $297/mo, and Pro at $497/mo, all with unlimited contacts and users and a 14-day free trial. Core features include forms, surveys and quizzes, booking calendars, email and SMS marketing, workflow automation, and review tools. HighLevel says usage-based charges apply for phone numbers, SMS, email, and AI. It’s built for agencies and marketers, so it’s worth it only if you’re actively generating leads.
